How it works
Play Wordle on the Times. Share once into your private tribe. Skill scoring, a camp torch, and standings that stay with your people.
1. From Wordle in one tap
Install Five Letter Tribe on your phone first so it appears in Share. Then send results straight from the Wordle app — no paste. Paste still works anytime.
Install
Add Five Letter Tribe to your Home Screen.
Play
Solve Wordle on the New York Times app or site as usual.
Share
Tap Share → Five Letter Tribe. Score posts, torch lit.
2. Scoring and the torch
We score accuracy and efficiency — not streak luck. Posting lights your torch for the day.
Torch lit
Light the torch when you share
Posting lights it. An X/6 still counts as showing up (snuffed), but your camp streak resets — solves keep the fire going.
Scoring rewards skill
Faster solves score higher. Efficiency bonuses for greens and yellows on the way — not just whether you kept a NYT streak.

Wordle 3/6 · base points3
Wordle 6/6 · base points3. Compete with your tribe
Friends, family, or coworkers share one private camp. Weekly and all-time standings stay with your people — never a public leaderboard of strangers.
4. Chat with fire
Roast near-misses, celebrate greens, and drop GIFs. The camp chat is for your tribe only.
5. Chiefs run the camp
A chief starts the tribe, sends invite links, and chooses who gets in — up to 20 people per camp. Tribe mates play free; the chief covers the plan.
